Suzanne Collins for me.
I prefer her style on writing.
For me, I just can't read J K Rowling. Her style of writing doesn't grab me however much I love Harry Potter. I struggled to get to book 4. It's easier to just watch the films.
With Suzanne Collins though, I didn't have that problem. The books are brilliant.

Well I think they both have their own writing styles and it is hard to compare them. However, choosing which series I would've rather written is easy for me. Harry Potter is my favorite book series eve so I have to pick J.K Rowling

JK Rowling hands down.
Don't get me wrong, I love The Hunger Games- but they didn't impact me as much as The Harry Potter Series.
Suzanne Collins is great but Rowling is amazing.

Suzanne Collins is better than J.K. Rowling. I read Rowling's Harry Potter as a high school student, and I just said to myself, "I have read better books than this." I've probably read Collins' books before Rowling's, but I still found The Hunger Games better.

Their novels are so different in message that I don't know. I love dystopian, political work, so Collins really resonated with me. But, Hogwarts and the magical world are so beautiful and Rowling is such a deep, spectacular author that she's unmatched in modern literature. Short answer is: I don't know!

J.K Rowling as I would love to imagine having written the Harry Potter series. She is just amazing and though I love the Hunger Games, Harry Potter will always be number one for me.

The Hunger Games is one of the most badly written series ever. It is almost childish, containing almost no emotion. Harry Potter on the other hand is one of the finest series ever written. Its story, characters and messengers are almost magical (pun intended). They should not be compared.

The Harry Potter series wins hands down. I enjoyed reading the Hunger Games but I've only read that series once. To this day, I'm still very attached to the world and the characters Rowling created. I will always want to read Harry Potter. Though there are a couple of things that I'll never be ok about, I'll always be a Potterhead!

I love both series. They are both amazing reads. However, my vote has to be for J.K. Rowling. Her world building, plot complexities, and character development are above and beyond.
