I can't remember the name but I grew up reading The Babysitter Club for years when I was younger and then realizing when I was too old to quit read them, lol.

Mine are Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl, Lyman Frank Baum and C. S. Lewis. I also liked different folk fairy tales from different countries.

When I was younger, my favorite was probably Mary Pope Osborne or Erin Hunter, as I was very into The Magic Treehouse series and the Warriors series. I was shocked to find out when I grew up that Erin Hunter was actually three different people, and I read recently that she is now four! I haven't had a chance to reread either of these series, but I wonder if I would still love them as much as an adult.

However, as I work in the children's section of a public library, much of my job entails reading to children and helping them find books. So lately, I have a lot more experience with picture books than chapter books, and I have to say, Bob Shea has become a favorite of my recently. His illustrations are so bright, and they really help to hold young readers' attention!

Jacqueline Wilson and Enid Blyton. The former because all the girls at school were obsessed, they were such funny yet sad books. The latter - my mother bought me Blyton's books from secondhand stores that she remembered reading and thought I'd like too. Loved them!

Enid Blyton. She has been my all time favourite. For my love of detective stories, I was presented with the entire series of Secret Seven on my birthday. I remember finishing them during the summer break. All of them. Her books are mostly based on families, friendship, bondings, loyalty, fun. The genres merge. Secret Seven lead me into reading Brer Rabbit, Tales of Robin Hood, and many more.

My all time favourite would have to be Robert Munsch. I've been to multiple of his readings over the years and look forward to each of his new books.

I grew up with Enid Blyton and Lewis Carroll. The Nancy Drew collection (Carolyn Keene) and The Hardy Boys (Franklin W. Dixon & Stratemeyer Syndicate) were also remembered reads. Dr. Seuss never hurt either.
And in the end, we were all just humans... Drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness.

I love to read children’s book to my niece and nephew and we can never go past Aaron Blabbey or Ronald Dahl. I just love the silliness and the characterisation that is created. Excellent to read!

I recently purchased Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot. My son loves it. He is mostly intrigued by the drawings.

It would have to be Roald Dahl. Mostly because I have read most of his books when I was a kid.
