Sarah J. Maas - She's an absolute artist with words. I've read and reread her books more times than I'll ever admit. She's amazing!

My favorite author may be Ray Bradbury. As a scifi fanatic, after reading one particular short story in high school, I was hooked on the genre. The Kaleidescope Man, followed by Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles and The Illustrated Man. For someone of that high school age, I found the ease of his writing style resonated with my comprehension ability at the time. Some authors in my personal opinion get too involved in thought processes, all the little details that tend to slow down the plot line. As a screenwriter, it's imperative to keep the story moving, and I found this was Ray's forte, never a dull moment. It's something that I, personally, make certain is the overall creative and timing technique to keep a reader interested and not end up dropping the project halfway through due to occasionally glancing at his watch, wondering how long it'll take to finish the read, rushing through it, or having his mind on something else in his mind insuring it's not keeping him riveted to the task on hand, enjoying the reading journey.

It would be JK Rowling and Veronica Roth, these authors made my teenage years fun with endless nights reading their book series (Harry Potter series and the Divergent series)

I am smitten with Olga Tokarczuk’s writing. She writes beautiful prose. Reading her books feels like being wrapped in velvet. Her words fill my imagination with all kinds of imagery.

I also enjoy reading Miriam Toews, Yoko Ogawa, Ottessa Moshfegh. Mo Jan and Ma Jian.

I love love love Greg Iles.....
I have read all his books, and waiting for his newest one is hard... I have read all of certain other authors too, mystery I guess, and I hope someone can give me an opinion, if you have read Greg Iles...could you reccomend another author similar to his writing.....?
Thanks in advance....I can't seem to read any other author that I like as much as his...
James Patterson, Mary Higgens Clark, Iris Johansen, Patricia Cornwell, etc... they are wonderful, but if anyone know any other author as good as Greg Iles, let me know....
Thanks!

I love romance books and so far my favorite author is Katie West. I love how she makes the characters in the books so relatable. When I'm reading her books I just want to hop right in and live in the stories.

Of all time has to be Edgar Allan Poe. He created the dark world of poetry and tales by locking himself in his own twisted mind. To me he created all means of poetry to the extreme. I myself possess the most awesomeness leatherback book “THE COMPLETE TALES AND POEMS OF EDGAR ALLAN POE” which I have read numerous of times and still pick it up again and again.
