Jay Hulme's poetry

Post by Gravy »

This blog post was my first introduction to this poet.

It's quite a tale, but it's only the beginning, if you learn much about him.
(CW for Christianity. Thankfully, as he himself is trans and gay, it's the right kind of Christianity.)

Anyway, I've been keeping up with his doings for a while. He's very entertaining, and I love his poetry.

I started following him before 2020 happened. When it did, he began to write and post what he called "plague poems."

This one is the one I think about the most. (It's also going to be in his upcoming collection, The Backwater Sermons)

I just ordered another of his books and I can't wait to read it.
Pronouns: She/Her

What is grief, if not love persevering?

Grief is just love with no place to go.
