I've watched the movie, and I think it's quite good, though a bit too fast-paced. Guess it's due to the limitation of the duration. I do have the book now and may start on it soon. Hope it'll describe Ender and the other characters' reasoning better.

If you even remotely liked the movie, you will love the book! I hope you get a chance to read it soon. It's a quick read and so immersive. I loved the movie and the book. :techie-reference: :D

I watched the movie before I read the book, and I thought that the movie was so well done, and a lot easier to follow than the book. However I felt that the book developed the characters a lot better, which made it easier to get to know Ender

If it had been left with just Ender's Game, it would be great. Also, the movie stayed very true to form in following the book which is rare enough. Loved that!!
Oh dear.. there are so many books in the series too. I thought they would continue being similar to what the movie offered. That's a shame

Both the book and the movie are pretty good in my opinion. Yet, as usual, the book is noticeably better than the film. Of course only in my humble opinion.

I liked the movie better despite reading the book first.

I saw the movie and it is very well done, it makes the whole theme understood and has very good effects, also the actor of the character of Ender is very neat when giving life to the performance. Like most books made to the big screen, I know it doesn't do the book justice. Therefore, the first moment that I have free insurance I will dedicate it to carefully read this great work.

The book is absolutely fantastic! Unfortunately, I do not think the film is very good. The child actors in the film were too old and untrustworthy. However, the dialogue and narrative in the book are strong enough to allow readers to connect with and believe the characters.

By the way, I almost always prefer books to movies!

It isn't possible to fit the evolution of the main character into a single feature film. We're talking a deep analyse of the effects of manipulation on a child starting as young as 6 into adulthood. The series is really about Ender and his humanity under such manipulation and exploitation. In order to truly follow this evolution of the character, it would need either a series of movies or a miniseries. Even if it were a three hour movie, Ender wouldn't be fleshed out enough.
