Hello.Melissa310 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 12:28 I've started posting here and there in the forums since I joined obc, but it seems like most if not all of these are still waiting on being approved by a moderator before they're publicly visible. Does it have to do with my account being new? It's a bit frustrating trying to engage in topics when my account is limited for some unknown reason.
Thank you for reaching out. I'm very sorry for the frustrations. Yes, your posts have to be approved by a moderator because your account is new. Kindly be patient as moderators are working on your pending posts.
Thank you.

Thank you, I don't really mind the wait as I understand this site is kept under control to avoid bots and spam. Can I ask what's considered a new account though, is it posts or account age related?Melissa Jane wrote: ↑18 Sep 2022, 02:08Hello.Melissa310 wrote: ↑17 Sep 2022, 12:28 I've started posting here and there in the forums since I joined obc, but it seems like most if not all of these are still waiting on being approved by a moderator before they're publicly visible. Thank you for reaching out! A new account typically means one that (1) is less than a week old and (2) has made fewer than ten comments on OnlineBookClub.org.

Hello.kipper_ wrote: ↑23 Sep 2022, 01:49 I think there has been a backlog for a while. I still have posts pending from a few weeks back, and every few days or so, I’ll get notified of a handful that have been approved. I think I read somewhere that there is a moderator shortage right now, so I’d expect some time to pass before posts gets approved. Hopefully you start to see a few pop up after a couple weeks. (:
Thank you for these helpful posts. I'm glad you are assisting new members.
Thank you.

Hi.Tonia Freeman wrote: ↑29 Sep 2022, 16:25 So any account over a week old and they have over ten comments on OBC comment will automatically show up? They don't have to wait to be approved?
Thank you for the inquiry. The last time I checked, the threshold was 25 posts, not 10. But yes, once your account is over a week old and you have made the required amount of posts, your posts will not need an approval, except for some forums such as the Book of the Month Discussion Forum.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Thank you.

Melissa, I am well over that quota on both accounts. How do I get added to the list of not needing to be approved? Perhaps that is why there is such a backlog? There is a backup of people's posts that should automatically be posted but are not?Melissa Jane wrote: ↑30 Sep 2022, 02:41Hi.Tonia Freeman wrote: ↑29 Sep 2022, 16:25 So any account over a week old and they have over ten comments on OBC comment will automatically show up? Thank you for the inquiry. I can see you joined on may and has made over 150 posts. I'm not sure why your posts still need approval. I'm forwarding this issue to my manager who will better assist you. Please expect a response within 48 hours.
Thank you.
