I'm currently using Kindle app on my phone. It's not bad, but it's definitely not ideal. I also have a very old edition of the Kindle; if I recall correctly, it's about 8 years old. I do definitely prefer using actual books, but I'm looking to upgrade to an e-reader, preferable another Kindle. I love adding notes and highlights to things, and it's definitely a little easier on my phone than it is with my old kindle. What are you guys using? How do you like them?

Isn't Kindle Unlimited just a subscription thing though, not a e-reader?

The Amazon Kindle is an electronic reading tablet that enables you to purchase and download books, magazines and newspapers directly to your device.

Librera reader is the best ebook reader I've used, it opens .epub, .mobile, html and other rare ebook formats with ease and has a feature that allows the book to be read to you while you could be doing something else on your phone like scrolling through Pinterest.

I recently switched from a Kindle Paperwhite, to a Kobo Clara HD. Absolutely love my Kobo :)
Reasons why I prefer the Kobo over the Kindle:
-it connects directly with my public library's Overdrive ebook system and I can borrow books right from my Kobo, (with the Kindle there's extra steps).
-For some reason all of my Kindle books were starting to show up on my 12 yr old sons Kindle Fire. I spent so much time trying to adjust settings/tech support etc and nothing worked. My son does NOT need to see what his mama is reading, ha!
-NO ADs
-I like Kobos website and that it's only for books. It's clean and easy to use.
-I've been trying to get away from buying from Amazon, for reasons we don't need to get into here, so by not using a Kindle I'm reducing my usage a bit more.
-I like the Kobo's home page layout. Clean and easy to navigate. Also easy to adjust fonts etc.
-You earn points when you purchase books that you can use for free books, and I also signed up for Kobos VIP membership, which gives me extra perks for a minimal annual cost (this is OPTIONAL).
-It's a bit cheaper :)

I've had my Kobo for a couple of months now and I'm using it exclusively to read all my books. So happy with it!

I use Kindle Paperwhite and really like it. I've bought it for 180$ and I think it's the best choice that you can find in the market. It's easy to highlight and easy in use, I like it really.
