Re: Touchscreen or Buttons?

I prefer touchscreen. I have a netbook/tablet hybrid and I use Kindle for PC to read books I buy on Amazon and calibre to read free books and books I buy on other websites so actually touchscreen is not really a choice. However, in both Kindle and calibre I can turn page touching the side in any point so it's not a problem moving my hands up and down for other reasons while if I had phisical buttons I'd have to reach for them in the right positions.
Ciao :)

Definitely Touchscreen, it's more flexible and easy to use.

Buttons! I am old-fashioned in this sense. I downgraded from a larger touchscreen tablet as an e-reader to an older Kindle with full keyboard. I don't have to worry about accidental touches. Touchscreen is definitely faster, but I love the tactile experience. Perhaps the "taktaktak" sound is more satisfying to me. :)

I prefer touch screens. Buttons are not a problem but when you read all day with your device, it can be a pain on your fingers.

I prefer touch screen because it just seems easier and less likely to break.

Lol what a question. I will always go for touchscreen. Buttons are stressful while touchscreen phones are stress-free I speak from experience

Oh, that's a tough one! Um, well I've actually had both. I like the modern touch screens but I also like feeling the buttons click when I press them down. I guess I prefer buttons because there is a physical response to selecting something.

Too much of buttons are really frustrating thing to use. hence I would prefer it should be a good combination of both of them. Like having buttons to flip trout the pages while various other actions and options can be selected or performed through the touch screen respectively.

Touchscreen ebook readers are the best. I like the modern and clean look. Buttons are clunky and it can be simplified.

I have both of them, and personally like touchscreen more. It's easier for me when the book understand exactly what I want to do. Buttons takes more time for me to read and choose a book.

My first Kindle had buttons and it was fine, but I also read books on my Kindle app for Android, which is touch screen, and tbh I don't have much of a preference either way. I kind of think buttons are easier because they're harder to hit by accident. I didn't really notice the touch screen being any faster. I guess it is if you're already used to using a phone/tablet with a touch screen. I also worry about how hard it is to clean or disinfect touch screens when buttons can be disinfected more easily with some alcohol on a q-tip or cotton ball. But I haven't found a good product that cleans and/or disinfects touch screens without damaging them? I'd like to find one.
