Touchscreen! Buttons are tedious to use. I find it easier to navigate with touchscreens. The last time I had a phone that used buttons I'd use it only when necessary as I found the whole process to, frankly, not be worth it.

The button readers get so hard to use when you start using a touchscreen cause it's so much easier to scroll with.

I do actually miss my page turning buttons from the original kindle. Sometimes my paperwhite doesn't seem to get my touch or sometimes I turn it before I'm ready by accident. I found I had that happen less with actual buttons (and typing for searching was quicker for some reason), but I wouldn't go back as I love the backlight feature on the paperwhite.

I love buttons on my Kindles. And on the fly of my pants. And on all my jackets. I like buttons on my sleeping bags. And, I really like hand cranks to start my car and elevators with pulley ropes. I love radios with tubes that glow in the dark.

Personally I love the touch screen option because it means that I can easily highlight words for definitions sometimes when I touch the screen and link quotes from the books to notes. Besides on the touchscreen options a keyboard can appear to suit your needs and disappear.

I can see the benefit of having both, but I do prefer a dedicated button for at least back and home. A designated spot on the screen is also okay, but not as reliable.

Touchscreens! They are easier to use and dont have to hurt your fingers pressing down a button over and over again.

I have had both and I actually prefer the buttons. Once you get used to what button performs which function it's not all that cumbersome, and I feel like with the touch screen I have some trouble getting it to understand which part of the screen I'm trying to touch sometimes, which isn't a problem with the button-controlled e-readers.

I think either would do as long as you get used to things get going.

I only have one with a touch screen. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have one with buttons!

I prefer touchscreen for its convenience. There is a slight learning curve, but you'll get used to it fast and be able to navigate much easier than with buttons. I might be biased though, as I've only ever used a kindle.
