I suggest kids reed paperbacks. It helps them love the feel of an original books. And it also protects their sensitive eyes.

I feel like either of them would work and it's more of the content that should be monitored versus the way they are reading. If anything though, using an ebook for children would need to be free of all other distractions

Kids should be restricted to reading just paperbacks. Paperbacks will make them appreciate the value of a book.
