I believe you can also lend and borrow audio books through audible. Like the previous posts say, you need a membership to do this.

I am an online teacher and use the LIBBY app to borrow books for free through my library along with the free books from Amazon Prime. You can have up to six books on hold at a time with the LIBBY app and check out up to 25 books at a time. These do not count towards the physical books that you check out. I check out books to use for both my classroom and myself, and it works out great!

That's when you get kindle unlimited. Amazon prime has nothing to do with it :D
