Very often. Best way to test a new author or genre.

yaeh its nice to get samples. but i think amazon has a feature 'look inside' the book. So you can click and read a few pages and can decide whether you like the author's writing style or not. It may also save the space on your reader and later the inconvenience of deleting the file if you dislike it

I don't usually. However if it is a series I will get the first book free. Then if I like it, I'll buy more in the series.

Since I don't have the time to go to a bookshop very often, getting the free sample of a book before I buy is REALLY useful. It helps me find out whether the book I want is worth the money, which has saved me ALOT of money in the long run.

Even though I should, l don't. Then again, I never buy ebooks so I won't be mad if it sucks because I didn't have to pay for it. Now if I was considering buying one, then yes. I would have to read a few pages before I purchase it.

I don't always download a sample, but I appreciate having the ability to do so. Sometimes the book descriptions aren't enough to convince you a book is worth the money.

No, I usually get a book based on readers' comments and reviews. I don't like sampling....

I sometimes do that when the description doesnt attract me a lot, I may like it but I'm not sure so I get the sample to see if the beginning is exciting enough to make me take the chance.
But even that sometimes doesnt help you not buying a bad book D:

I like to evaluate my first impression of the book so I tend to get the free sample first. I am a picky reader and I like not to waste too much time on something I didn't enjoy much.

I think the reviews are enough help to decide which book to buy and what not to buy

Yes, if I am not familiar with the author, I will often get the sample first.

Honestly, I hardly ever download the samples of the books and then buy it. I’m more likely to read the synopsis and then if I’m interested in the storyline I will purchase the book.
