It depends because I take a smartphone with my book on the app around with me then I switch to paperback when I am winding down for the evening

If I read the e-book on my computer, it's slower than a paperback. I'd say on my ipad though, I read kindles faster than actual books. I don't know why. That may not even be accurate, but it seems like it.

I can read faster on an book. The best thing with e-books is that I can have a huge compilation of books that I can bring anytime and anywhere because they're inside in my Amazon Kindle App on my iPhone.

I tend to read faster with an e-book. I have a Nook that allows me to change the background at night(black page white letters). This allows me to read a longer amount of time than with a paperback.

I think I read faster on paperbacks, but since most of the books I read are international and I can't buy them here or the shipping prices are three times the value of the book, I have to get the ebooks versions, but honestly, if the books is great, I can read fast both ways :D

There isn't any much difference with the pace only with the convenience that comes with ebook.

To me, a book just seems easier to pick up and start reading. I don't mind e-readers, and I use them a lot, but I probably get through an actual book much faster. It's just something about the feel of it.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised to find that I read slightly faster with an e-book on my Kindle. That being said, I strongly prefer a physical copy to its digital counterpart. The feel, the smell, and the overall experience of having a good, worn-out paperback in my hands just can't be substituted.

I tend to finish paper backs faster because I kind of skim through it then read it again. This just makes it easier for me to do reports. Using a kindle I read more slowly, I don’t even know why.

I think it really depends on the book itself, but i think i tend to read a paperback book a little faster than an e-book, only because e-book format sometimes hurts my eyes more.

I find paperback easier and faster to read since it doesn't affect my eyesight as much as when I read an e-book from a laptop or a phone.

No. I’ve found no correlation between format and reading speed.

I like reading in a paperback, so that's why I read in that faster.
