Battery and falling problems can be scary... but thankfully we can store our books in the cloud... so I woudln't worry too much about that. I'd try really hard to keep a backup of my books!

I don't mind either way but, e-readers take it for portability and convinience

With all the advantages of ebook readers pointed out in this forum , I thought it might be interesting to see what people thought were the disadvantages.

Personally I hate how I cannot have two books open at the same time. If I am studying a book I need to have the book open as well as study guide and flip back and forwards. If both are ebooks this cannot be easily done on the Kindle.

So What is your ebook pet hate?
Well, if you want to open multiple books at one time then try using laptop for e-book reading. You can open two opens in laptop.

Ebook readers like kindle are fine. but the other forms of reading like using tables of staring at computer screen for longer time will definitely cause irritation to eyes and also causes headaches. Also, the battery life is a question. while you are on long travel you cannnt necessarily be able to recharge the batteries and sometimes that my be a disadvantage on using e readers.

The only reason I don't like about ebooks is that your device always have to have power to enjoy the benefits, and lack of power can sometimes inconvenience you.

Your electronic device breaks down and probably can't be fixed back, all your e-books lost if you didn't have a back up so me where in another electronic device. You have to power your device before you can read. Unlike the paper book that can be accessed at any time

The only issue I have with my kindle is the battery life. I have to pay very close attention to the battery so it does not die while I’m in the middle of reading.

I HATE when it runs out of battery! Also hate that you can't physically see how far you are in a book, so it just doesn't feel as satisfying as reading a physical book.

I hate not having to hold a book in my hands and not experiencing that satisfying feeling of turning pages.

I like seeing a full shelf of books. I love underlining and writing notes with a pencil. The text of Ebooks are too small to read. And have a bad feeling on eyes.

The most disadvantaging thing when it comes to reading e-books for me is eye-strain from staring at a screen for a long time. Maybe part of the reason why my myopia got worse and I've been wearing eyeglasses ever since.

One thing I'm afraid of is dropping the ereader and breaking it. Thats a hundred bucks out of your pocket.

I'm not a fan of staying at my phone or laptop for too long. My eyes hurt if I do that.

I’m new to this process, and my first step is to select a book that would be a good match. The cover and subtitles offer valuable clues, which are not legible as I peruse the poor dpi quality of the covers. Having stated that, how do I begin to be part of beginning this worthy process?
