Did You Know That There Is A Site To Borrow/Lend Kindle Book

Post by booklvr62 »

Kindle Books for free! 'Lendle Kindle' lets you lend/borrow titles without having to share your email addy with strangers, how great is that!
I joined yesterday and immediately was rewarded with two title requests.I already received them and read one. You earn requests by offering your own titles for lending.I listed 43 titles so far to lend. Just wanted to share this great option I was told about on another forum. Happy Kindling!

Kindle Lending. I have borrowed books on my Kindle (unfortunately only one per month), but did not know how to participate in lending. Thanks for the info!

There is also the site BookLending.I have borrowed and lent several. You can only lend a title once, but you are not limited to how many 'different'' titles you borrow or lend,so be sure to put several titles.

My local library offers an online library service. I can check out e-books for my kindle for a 2 week period just like going to the library for a traditional book checkout. You must have a library card to use this service. It's also a consortium of several regional libraries, which increases the number of books available electronically. It's a great option, check with your local library!

Yep, my library does the same thing, and borrowing from these lending sites works the same way,you get the eBook for 14 days and you download it from the Amazon link exactly the same as if you were borrowing it from the library.

I think that Amazon offers that service, though it's not "ready for prime time" yet. When you buy a Kindle book it gives you the option to lend it to someone (unless the publisher restricts it). It's not well organized, though. You can't search for a book to borrow.

My mom also said that her library lends books electronically now too. I haven't tried it as I still prefer books to e-readers but she loves it.

The sad thing is, I've tried this website. Most of the books I want to borrow are not available. It's sad really.
