I'm planning to buy a Kindle device soon and I just want to know the advantages and disadvantages of these devices.

It depends on your budget. The latest model is great, but the Paperwhite is also good.

I use the Kindle Paperwhite 2!! It's one of the oldest models. My parents gifted this to me during Christmas 2013 and I was never able to fully utilize it until last 2019. I do plan on upgrading my Kindle in a next following years though!

I am considering getting one. What made you decide on that one?

I guess i'm quite late, but i would suggest going with a paperwhite! Its worth the money and its not as expensive as the oasis. Also, its very compact so you can carry it around with you wherever you go.

I have the Paperwhite and it's been great. It can easily fit in my purse and I take it with me most places. It's easy to read outside or inside or anywhere honestly. It's nice to be able to change the brightness for day time or night time reading. It has been pretty simple to figure out and use.

I'm also using Kindle app on my smartphone, but seeing all the good opinions about the Paperwhite, perhaps it's worth investing in one!

I use paperwhite. I really like it because it isn't bright like a phone or computer screen. I am able to highlight errors and leave notes of any kind which I can go back to reference when I write the review. I just wish it was possible to read pdfs on kindle, but this device doesn't have the ability to size them properly.

I'm using the 10th generation Kindle basic. I chose it mainly for the price and for the protruding bezel on the outer edges. I know most people would rather not have that bezel but personally, I prefer to have something to hold that isn't the screen itself because I would tend to flip the page accidentally.

I just stick with my conventional multipurpose smartphone, nothing special. It gets the job done, not as perfect as a kindle device but good enough.
