It's hard when people expect so much of you but you keep on failing. Few moments of bad decision make one's self esteem go so low that it becomes harder to try again.

The intruder I identify with most is self-sabotage.

My intruder is one where i often see myself as a failure. It feels like there is a piece of me that is missing and one that I may never find.

Ineffective time management is one issue with which I am continuously contending. I frequently devote too much time to one element of my life and ignore others as a result. As a result, my social life is occasionally neglected. I came to the conclusion after reading this book that I need to find balance in all aspects of my life.

Self-pity is one of the pests I combat on a daily basis. If something I expected to work out later doesn't, I always feel sorry for myself. I start feeling sorry for myself and blame myself. This causes me to shut people out and spend time alone on occasion.

Procrastination is the biggest intruder that I battle with every day, and in this fight, I always lose. I have been promising myself I would work on it, but in vain. However, after reading The Maestro Monologue, I think I have been fully charged to fight this great enemy, for which I don't know its origin.

I have battled the procrastination intruder ever since childhood. However, I am seeing the value in setting a schedule, putting the work in over time, and witnessing the benefits!

One of the intruders I can relate with is procrastination: a thief of time and value. After reading this book, I made up my mind to avoid the voice of the intruder who kept telling me to delay whatsoever that needed to be done.

Procrastination was an intruder I could very well relate to before I read the book. I'm currently working to overcome that using the tips I got from the book.

Mine is definitely procrastination. I believe that many people have been forced to fight off this intruder more time that they would have loved to.

A major intruder in my life is lack of self confidence. I constantly feel incapable of doing things because I see things as too complex or outside of the area of my expertise. It's very demoralizing because it has caused me to miss out on many experiences in life. But it's true that identifying the intruder is the first step to overcoming it.

For me, I deal with a lot of intruders one of which is low self-esteem, lack of courage to start something and not being persistent, giving up easily.

Some of the intruders in my life are the negative thoughts such as faulty “I ams” and “I am nots”.
