The ending was perfect and I don't think it left any room for a sequel, because it was a happy ending with family.

I feel like a sequel isn’t necessary, it might even negative impact the first. Sequels that continue the story through the old main characters kids have a lot to live up to and they very rarely do.

There is just no story that cannot continue if the author feels it should. This book is not an exception to me. A sequel is very much possible.

For me, this story seems to be quite finished. Besides, an unnecessary and poorly written sequel can subsequently spoil the impression of the first book.
I can understand the reluctance of readers to part with their favorite characters. However, not every successful book has to grow into a book series.

The book ended so well. I don't see any need for a sequel. However, if there turns out to be one I will give it a shot.

The book did end quite well, all hostilities were resolved, and well, majority of the characters ended up happy. But there's never an end to creativity. The author could spin another tale, however, adequate care should be taken to ensure that the sequel doesn't hamper the public perception of the book.

If there hadn't been that last part of the book, then I'd agree with a sequel, but I believe that last part wrapped it up nicely.

Times have changed, there's no ambiguity and there's no obvious loose thread to pull at for a sequel. I'd be satisfied for the book to remain without a sequel.
However, an author with an imagination creative enough to have written this book might just find find a way...

To me, I think the author finalized the ending well, leaving no need for a sequel. But, I'm pretty sure that some people won't mind a sequel.

I’m unsure of what ground a sequel would cover since the events of the novel were all wrapped up very nicely. The epilogue provides a nice look at what life was like for Brandy after the close of the narrative, and I think it suffices for ending the story on a positive note. If there were a sequel, it could perhaps focus on generational piracy, as this is a theme present in the first book that could be carried with Brandy’s children, but it isn’t needed for me.

I feel if the author thinks there's a need for a sequel, everyone will read it, but from what I've read and seen here, there's no need for it.

I don't think a sequel is necessary, but I'd definitely read a brother-and-sister, pirate-prince-and-princess novel with Arthur and Katrina. I think the setting has more story left in it for sure, even though Brandy, Ballad of a Pirate Princess had a solid ending.

I would love a sequel, but I don't think a sequel would be necessary. A second book that follows Authur and Katrina and their family. That would be so amazing, but at the same time I enjoyed how the book ended, it had great closure for me.

Despite the satisfying ending, I would not mind a sequel. The pirate world has a lot left to be explored.

I just finished the book yesterday and was thinking the same thing. A sequel would be amazing and could consist of the two children growing up as Brandy teaches them what she learned about fighting. They could go on a pirate ship and have some mission to accomplish. I believe there would be plenty to write about. I have no doubt that Dan Hendrickson could pull it off.
