I always believe that names hold meaning and power. I find that the names the author give their characters can influence how they are written. I love unique names in books. It always inspires me to research what they name means and see if the meanings of the name matches any character traits of the character. Words hold power. This is true for names as well.

I don't think the names used in this book were exceptional in any regard. For me it's just a characters attribute.

The plot is made more interesting by the name. When you read something like The Scarlet Mistress, there is a ringing and alluring impression. It will keep you entertained. I absolutely liked the names the author used in the novel.

Names of characters in a book don't usually affect my view on a book. I like the names given to the characters in the book and I wouldn't feel different about the book if the names were different.

The names used in this tale strike me as lovely and appropriate. Additionally, they are crucial for realism; otherwise, what good would names like the Plaque and Scarlet Mistress, which are apt for a story about pirates?, be? Anyone note how Brandy's true hair color fits the name of the ship, Red Witch?

The way this novel was characterized, in my opinion, was well done by the author. The story has some very unusual and lovely names.
