I loved the themes explored by the author. Betrayal, sacrifice, and so on. It brings to light core ideas behind these narratives. Their pros and cons. They were all thought provoking.

The themes in this novel are important and significant. The main theme in this novel is betrayal. There are other secondary themes such as, perseverance and the value of relationships.

I loved how the author covered the political and corruption themes aspects in this book. An insight into how corrupt governments work was quite evident in how the governors and other officials handled information that got to the queen and how that information got twisted to satisfy certain agendas.

In my opinion, the theme that resonates strongly throughout the story is determination in the face of adversity. This is clearly expressed through the character of Brandy. Another major theme is betrayal.

I think the theme of betrayal looms large in the book - it shouldn't be surprised when the book is centred around pirates. Love and faith themes also loom large.

Love, sacrifice, strife, rage, servitude, and enmity were all themes that I recognized. The gravity of the theme of betrayal cannot be overstated.
Books are a unique form of accessible magic. Reading is required for those who wish to rise above the mundane. If you dislike reading, it's most likely because you haven't found the right book.

I saw the themes of betrayal, self-sacrifice, love and family. Oh, think I forgot "slavery". It was prominent in the book.
