Many readers, just like me, picture places in their minds as they read, especially for unfamiliar setting. I think Charlie Sheldon had those readers in mind while including the maps. The maps helped me follow the story so well, but they also saved me from wild imagination.

The maps were indeed relevant. Aside it's indication of the geographical settings, it gives the reader an insight of what to expect in the story as many places where mentioned. It's a great learning tool.

I love that maps were included in this book. They helped me get a sense of where everything was happening geographically. In general, they're an important visual aid.

I think the map was given to provide readers with some uniform geographical information contained in the book. However, I personally don't mind when the maps are omitted, as I prefer to create the mental pictures of places based on may past experiences and places I have visited before.

Aside from being a guide, for a story like this that deals with the earth, the map is critical in telling the story of each nation, giving direction and connecting places together

I believe the maps were placed there to help readers understand the geographical setting of the book better. It came in handy while reading the book as it helped tell how far or close places were to each other. It made it more interesting for me.

The maps really helped limit the strain on my imagination, as I would have had to picture one anyways. It was a timely addition as I finally read a book where I didn't have to picture an imaginary place.

I'm personally not a big fan of maps, and I always tend to gloss over them when encountered. I believe they did play an essential role in this case, by contextualising the environment Sarah and her friends found herself in, but again, I was not commited to studying them, and ended up just envisioning everything in my head anyways.

An individual uses a map to see the world. Having a good imagination of the geographical settings ensures proper flow and understanding of the story. It's a good one.

The maps were a very vital part of the book for me! More than the maps making the reading experience more enjoyable, it was easier to understand the settings of the story because I could visualize where and what was happening in a particular scene.

A book map is a strategy that uses a graphic organizer to help readers understand the elements of the book. By identifying the story characters, plot, setting, problem, solution, and learn the details.
