My favorite character is William. His desire to help slaves at a time when everyone thinks otherwise is a sure sign of his great personality and courage.

I know it's a cliche for Lily the female lead to be my favorite character but she is. Loved her passion and life.

I love both Lily and William's characters as well as the tone of their relationship. Lily is brave, passionate, and talented- a true Gryffindor :D William was immensely kind and generous, and the empathy he showed toward slaves made him one of the most respectable characters in the book.

I like Lily and William. Lilly's life had a lot of happening and she was brave and could face the situation and stand up for herself. William was a kind, helpful and caring person.

It isn't easy to pick a favourite as the characters all had uniqueness that made them endearing. However if most likely pick Lily if I had to go with just one character.

My favorite is Lily. She is brave and kind to others. Her kindness seems so sincere since she helps others to be a better person without a personal purpose.

Lily is my favorite character. Aside from William, she was really the only character who remained true to herself throughout the novel. I believe she's incredible and I adore her. Her strength, honesty, and ability to hide her anguish appeal to me enormously.

Lily’s character is one of a kind, and the author wove her portrayal very well. Many people can relate to her character because her experience and struggles are very relatable. Additionally, she became a woman of power many women will emulate.

Lily is my favorite character because she learned to play piano on her own just by listening when James mother was playing It and teaching others.
