The book is indeed wonderful and I love and enjoy the various twists that brings suspense into it. The ending gives me an impression that there will be a sequence. If there is, I look forward to reading it.

Yes, the ending seemed rushed to me. I feel it should've been better but, it was an overall amazing story.

I think the ending was abrupt looking at how the story started. Well, it may be the way the author wants it for readers to expect a sequel.

I found the ending abrupt and uncalculated. It however did not leave me excited for the sequel. I feel like it was a desperate attempt which might be unproductive with the plot of the sequel predicting similarity to the book. I mean, it's obvious that James would try rekindle their love.

I agree that the ending could have been changed a bit. There could have been a question on James's alliances with more clarity on what happened outside. Possibly explaining the actions of what went on outside without giving names of who performed the shooting instead of a quick line of a bang being heard coming from outside.

I think the ending is pretty sad. I felt depressed. How did Jesse show up at the right time? How did he know the event and find them? James' attitude is also very strange. I think the author could have created a different ending.

I absolutely agree with you. I think the ending happened just so there would be a major cliffhanger. It didn't feel realistic or like it belonged in the story at all.

The ending was truly shocking. The fact that James went out of his way multiple times to show Lily he cared and then turned on her was surprising. But I cant deny that I think something bigger is at play. Or at least I hope.

As I was getting towards of the book, I was trying to figure out what twists and turns were going to happen to make a transition into book 2. The ending we got wasn't what I was anticipating at all but I'm intrigued to read the next book, if only to find out who was involved. That being said, I feel like it was almost plugged in so that there could be a cliff hanger break where the next book could start instead of just continuing the first book.

To say that the ending fell short of my expectation is to say the least. I think it was done intentionally, but it could have been done better to motivate the reader to pursue the sequel.

The ending of the book was intense and sudden. It was unexpected and left me with questions on what could happen next. It would be interesting to find out more from the second book.

I was so disappointed with the ending that it ruined the whole series for me. I think this reading should have included all three books before asking for review. I will only read Books 2 and 3 if they are also free. Very well written book with very likeable characters but they shouldn't all have had disappointing endings. I still wonder who got shot in the end but will not pay $10 to find our.

I was surprised by the ending. It's really not good. The author can write differently. James' attitude was surprising. Perhaps the author wants to continue writing in part 2.

I loved the book, Lily and James love story was very beautiful. I agree the ending was quite abrupt but it doesn't affect my love for the book. And most series have abrupt endings

Although I enjoyed reading this book. I found the ending was abrupt and a little bit rushed. I hope the author does better in the next book.
