Current story: Countdown

This story is literally the preceding events that brought about the zombie apocalypse. This is fascinating, as I've gotten all the information before, but I'm 'seeing' it firsthand for the first time. It's also fascinating due to the amount of research that went into the world building. Viruses and whatnot. Interesting stuff.

I'm also sitting here thinking, 'Oh, God, this is so bad! No, like, really bad! No, you don't understand! You're all going to die!'

I knew what was going to happen when I started this story and saw some familiar characters. It still hurt.

Finished Everglades. Very short. Honestly don't have much of an opinion on it. Not my favorite story, also didn't hate it.

This is, apparently, quite a long story. I'm not as enamored of this one, so it's taking longer to get through it. The zombies have shown up now, perhaps this will draw me back in.

Current story: How Green This Land, How Blue This Sea

Finished San Diego 2014: The Last Stand of the California Browncoats.
Seemed really long, but I think it was the setting. Was a bit uncomfortable in some places (i.e. death of a dog). Happy to be on to the next story.

Current story: The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell

Finished How Green This Land, How Blue This Sea.
Liked it. Not really sad, despite some animal death. Just a good overall story, and one that helped to further the story after the end of the trilogy. It helps that Mahir was always one of my favorite characters.

Current story: Please Do Not Taunt the Octopus

Finished The Day the Dead Came to Show and Tell and other was as bad as I expected. Zombie outbreak in a school was never going to be an easy rread.

Still a good story. Didn't find any issues with it. Liked the characters, and the story.

It sounds like something I might like, but it also sounds a bit macabre.

It definitely gets dark at times, but the original trilogy is one of my favorite things. It's, oddly enough, political thriller by way of zombie apocalypse.

(The first book is also one of the only books that have ever had me uncontrollably ugly crying.)
