Those twists weren't really surprising, to be honest, but they were also ~ not impossible to anticipate~. The twist I really liked is when Pete decided to claim that he is the sole designer of the new Zenith building. I believe this "revelation" is very shocking to the public. I also liked how the last chapter, the ending, took quite a sharp turn. I think it's very in character that John would want to explode his own creation, for he lost almost everything now, and he might as well cause damage to the people who destroyed him.
