From the Parrot's Perch is a heart-wrenching memoir of how a woman survived the injustice of being charged and imprisoned in Brazil but was able to rise above it all. Thanks for your review.

I perceive the story to be quite interesting. I'm so sorry for her misfortune at the hands of her brother-in-law. I appreciate her candor. The review is sincere too.

The author's life seems exciting and is an example of the significance of resilience. I look forward to seeing her role in fighting the injustice and corrupt acts of the Brazilian government authorities. Congrats on BOTD.

It can be scary and tormenting to be asked to narrate a tortuous experience, especially one that one doesn't want to go back again. Hence, I absolutely understand Karen Keilt's concerns. But then, I think there are some good sides to the activities of the Brazilian National Truth Commission, especially when we consider that true healing might come when justice and truth prevail.

This book has some parts that triggers my interest, especially the fact that Rex was living with Rick and the wife. Seeing what Rex deals with sends a negative signal for me. I feel this book would be for me.

I'd love to know what she suffered in prison. This is a beautiful story, and I'm probably going to purchase and read it.

Kudos to the author for coming out so strong regardless of what obstacles were thrown her way. I generally avoid memoirs, but I genuinely hope this book reaches the right audience. Congrats on the BOTD!

Healing comes with speaking out. It takes a whole lot for someone to share what they went through. The writer did amazingly well. Congrats on the book of the day.

An interesting read for lovers of intrigues laced with some political undertones. Telling one's story has always proved to be a positive path to healing. Congratulations to the author on making BOTD. Thank you for the excellent review.
