Thank you for your kind words. Parents’ impact on children’s lives is always huge, be it good or bad.

Family issues truly are disturbing for a child. This book has described exactly what millions of children face throughout the world. Such mental issues can leave a person scarred for life. But the key is to take charge, be brave, and move ahead in life. Wonderful book, and equally wonderful review.

Most people think that everybody who goes to another country to leave there has a fantastic life, but that's not it, others have to go through hell in order to make it in these life. Sometimes staying in one's country is the best options that one can choose. Listen to your heart.

Thanks for your appreciation! What you say is true, taking charge is the key in dealing with this kind of problems. Unfortunately, not all find it from themselves to do that.

Yes, you are right. Moving to another country is not automatically a road to happiness. Everyone who has done it for one reason or the other, knows the reality. It is never easy, but some make the best of it while others end up suffering. Thanks for reading and commenting!

Hmm.... A memoir where the author keeps some distance.Perhaps she didn't wish to appear too weak. But I am glad the book is well written, regardless. Thanks for the awesome review and recommendation.

I can commend the author for sharing such deeply personal and traumatic life experiences with the reader. That is not an easy thing to do and I hope it helped her come to terms with it and move on. It sounds likes a really interesting book but not a light read. Well done on the wonderfully written review.

Oh, I love that sentiment. No one can tell you what you remember and how to convey it. It must be quite the dance of intimacy to write a memoir. This sounds like a wonderful book.

Thank you for your beautiful review!

Yes, well, I would not want to try writing one myself 😃 I love reading memoirs and I think everyone who writes one is very brave. This memoir was a piece of art, there’s no other way to put it!

Thank you for your encouraging feedback, I appreciate it very much!

This sounds like a book that I will connect with, as someone who has family problems of sorts. Fortunately the book is free for download today, it's not every day I get to read a book so highly praised. This review is written beautifully, thank you for the great review.

This is an interesting inspirational non-fiction memoir highlighting diversity, familial struggles, mental health, life-long scars, and growth. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.
