This book discussing cystic fibrosis in the life of the author sounds emotional. Coupled with the pain of her mother getting killed, I can't imagine the pain the author must have endured. I don't have the stomach to read it, but glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the wonderful review! Her story is heart-rending yet full of optimism. I like how you warned the sensitive readers, but I want to read this memoir despite the warning.

Definitely sounds like an emotional story. The loss of a parent is hard enough, one can only imagine the severity of that when a parent is killed. I would think telling the story is probably therapeutic in some way to let it all out. Congratulations on BOTD.

This was a book of the day and I downloaded it without knowing anything about it. Even though I do not have CF I still found this book to be very interesting. It was very well written. I love Non-Fiction and am very glad I read this one.

Without the least doubt, it sounds like the author is a very skilled writer, being able to change from present to past so smoothly keeping the reader hooked. I love sad stories with a light at the end of tunnel and if its a true story, then all the more inspiring! Thank you for your excellent review!

This book sounds like it deals with many difficult topics. Flashing back to childhood memories, where a mother is often found, during the trial of the mother's murder is heartbreaking.
