I considered this for review, but it was not in a favourable format. Good to know it's so well written. As you say, it is shocking and saddening that such abuse exists, but it is great to hear the voice of someone finding their way through to healing.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

This doesn't seem like a book I'd be interested in, but it sounds like a good book for those who have had similar experiences. Great review!

I really like this review. I have always been interested to read about PTSD and how it affects people and what they can do to get through it. I think I might check out this book now.

Just wanted to note... it's not a "how to" book. It's an exploration of the author's feelings.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

I never knew there would be different types of writing in one book. I've always thought of that idea but it seemed crazy. Thank you for the great review.

The author must be brave to write about such a traumatic childhood. I think I'll add this to my reading list. Thank you for a great review!

The author must be really good at expressing her emotions. I am glad that the lack of chronology in the narration did not cause confusion but that everything eventually appears to be well-thought-out. Thanks for the review.

People who suffer traumatic events in there life have such a hard time coping with the aftermath. I am so glad the author found her outlet, her road to healing and the courage to share those things. Wonderful review as well. Thank you.

I really love memoirs, but I'm not fond of the diary style. It seems like the non-linear presentation would be even more distracting.

Thanks for a detailed review. I prefer to know the style of a book before I commit to reading.

The cover art is really neat. I do like it a lot.
