This sounds like an interesting book. I am glad Annie can find humor in some of her terrible experiences to help her cope. As a nurse, I have to say that alcoholism has been classified as a disease and it is hereditary. I have seen it firsthand in a family member whose mother was an alcoholic as was the family member and the family member's son was swiftly heading that way. This is a book I am planning to read! Thanks for the insightful review!

Exceptional work on the review. Domestic abuse is a real problem that we clearly need to address. Currently reading a wonderful book titled Kalayla which is in the same realm as this one, a very good read shining awareness on really dark themes.

Very insightful review! Great work!

Today's BOTD is an engaging memoir of a woman whose spouse was battling alcoholism. Told in a way that makes you feel like you're chatting with a friend, readers will find themselves laughing one moment and crying the next. This is a great read for those in similar situations, as it's filled with hope and let's you know you're not alone.

There are a lot of partners in marriage who are struggling because their of their spouse's addictions. This results in them slowly dying within and not being able to fully enjoy their marriages. I applaud the author for being able to write her experience with dealing with a spouse with addiction and I believe a lot of people who are going through the same in their marriage will understand.

Interesting story book. Annie's story really teachers about the misuse of alcoholism which is mostly dangerous to human. Full of actions and the explanation was clear, words by words.

Married to an alcoholic is rarely difficult to control, most especially when he/she has been used to it. Nice book AM Parker.

I think many people would find this book interesting because of the writing style since it is simple, familiar, and informal. It almost sounds to me like the book is similar to watching a TV show. This review is very thoughtful and honest. Thanks for the great review!
