I don't have a problem with the repetition of plot in the story. I would say it was the author's style and part of the story. For me, it helps the reader to better understand the story.

Do you know those things that would make you smile awkwardly? Yes, that happened to me while I was reading the repetitions. It made the plotline go bad and confused me at some parts and I wondered what was happening and why was it repeating. It made the book go bad for me.

I think repetition is necessary because it will show the reader what the difference that the otherworldliness do in the same experience, so it doesn't distract me from the story, and its not make me skip reading this book.

I didn't skip the repetitions because I thought he might change minor details and I didn't want to miss them. I wondered how carefully the author worked on the repetitions. Did he initially make them more obvious and then later tone them down or shorten them, or did this just work out for him naturally? The repetitions help blend the worldlines and I think this was an important element, but I didn't think they were so obvious that they were really distracting.

I think the repetition is more likely going to distract the readers than help them understand because it did with me. I was so focused on one topic, I got distracted when another popped up.

Fortunately, I did not feel any repetition at the introduction of a new worldline. While the backdrop of each worldline remained similar, the personalities of the characters were different. Plus the writing style of the author prevented from their being any form of redundancy.

Repetition has always been a tool that comes in handy to emphasize a point or create the mood of a scene or event.

I understand what the author was trying to accomplish with the repetition. To show the slight changes. While it may seem annoying, it is still essential to the plot. I did skim through repeated paragraphs though.

I think the repetition of the scenes is good for relatability. I wasn't distracted by it and it makes the plot complete.
