I haven’t read Things Fall Apart but since so many people seem to prefer it I may have to give it a try.
I have read the Metamorphosis and found it very sad; they abandoned him when he needed them most.

Re-Things Fall Apart
Things fall apart is the most illuminating and stable monument we have to the modern African experiences, it is modulated by an awareness capable of encompassing at once the life of nature.

I had to read Things Fall Apart for my literature class in high school and I'm really glad I did. I like that the story is unpredictable and thrilling. I also like how aspects of Igbo culture are intertwined within the narrative so that foreign readers can learn a little bit about that culture's traditions. I also really liked the complexity of the main character Okonkwo. My entire class was very divided about how we saw him and we had many lively debates (*read* fights).

I last read Things fall Apart some 30 years ago in my early teens. There was a 13 part TV series in the late eighties in Nigeria which was very huge then. I just started it again and no without doubt I am in for a good read, the first few pages have not disappointed.

I have read Things fall apart over and over again. And it is a book which covers the culture of the Eastern part of Nigeria.
It also explains the importance of paying attention to cultural differences and appreciating it.

It has themes of love
Guilt or Regret and many more.
It's enjoyable.

I read things fall apart a very long time ago. Achebe did a splendid job. Making it into a movie was a great idea.

I have read things fall apart by Chinua Achebe. The leading character Okonkwo is a robust character. I loved his courage.

Things Fall Apart was one of the books we discussed in depth in English class, I was quite affected by it and was quite touched by the author's deep understanding of the effects of colonialism in Africa.
