I wrote a high school term paper on this book. I know the teacher wasn't happy about the choice, but I think she let me do it because she thought I was going to fail and wanted to see it...Megha0107 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2015, 09:46 Around the world in eighty days is written by Jules Verne and the book is published in 1873. In childhood, (as a good childhood needs) it brought inspiration, dreams, and imagination.
I will owe it a lifetime's joy.

I'm reading it right now. How cool Fogg's travels had such a profound effect! I agree, it's such a nice read. Verne so skillfully combines a fantastical plot with silliness (oy, Passepartout...!) and mystery! I have a feeling I'll revisit it again and again just as you have, once I'm finished reading. I have his other book, Journey to the Center of the Earth, waiting for me to open it on my nightstand. Have you read it? I'm curious to know if it's anything like Eighty Days!
