I just read Of Mice and Men recently for the first time in an English class! I absolutely loved it and was captivated till the very end. Having also read The Grapes of Wrath, I can safely say that there is no one better than Steinbeck at capturing the underbelly of the 'American Dream' where people work for their whole lives to try to make a little life for themselves and ultimately end up alone through the futility of how or where they were born. Even within that, he manages to show how people find company in each other's sadness and can stiil start dreaming again. It's heartbreaking. Coupled with the beautiful way Lennie and George's dyanimic is displayed in such a small book, Mice and Men is such a fantastic bite-sized literary classic!

Of mice and Men is a very interesting story. this is about the experience of two migrant workers. they are searching for jobs migrating from one place to another.

I read this book just a few weeks ago. I loved it. Started and finished it right there in bed before going to sleep. In the end, all I could think was "Poor Lennie".

I read this book back in high school. It is so funny yet so sad. I didn't want to finish reading it. It really deserves to be read.

Of Mice and Men is easily one of my top 5 favorite classic books. I recommend the book to everyone. The story of George and Lenny has a way of getting into your heart and staying there.

I read this book a while ago, and the plot hits a lot of serious topics in our society, still relevant today. The ending was very emotional and not gonna lie, I cried my eyes out. It's a classic very close to my heart.

I read this book. I liked it a lot, but it was really sad. I enjoyed how most of the characters were so kind/thoughtful/caring/etc. I read this book in a day or two since it caught my attention so quickly.

I studied Of Mice and Men at school and it was really a great one for 16 year olds in my opinion. Short and very easy to read, but packed with meaning and thematic depth. There's so much in such a small package and the ending is tragically iconic

I started reading it in school but didn't finish it at the time. There's something about being forced to read something that takes the joy out of it.

Read the book in two days last year, I'm a slow reader, and enjoyed it. Its easy to see why it became such a classic. I thought it was a bit slow in the middle, but the ending really gets you very effectively.

Steinbeck is a great author. I loved the change in tone as compared to East of Eden
