Hillary and Ed's vacation to Ireland seems to set the premise for a great cozy mystery novel. Since the characters are well-developed and the ending nicely wraps up all the loose ends, House of Eire is definitely tempting for any fan of mystery novels and Irish history. Thanks for your review!

Based on the review, this sounds like a well-crafted mystery story with well-developed and sympathetic characters. Hillary's character seems quite relatable to me. I think fans of family drama would like this book. Thanks for a great review.

It's hard to resist a family mystery combined with the almost mystical setting of the Emerald Isle. Of course, I can also relate to Hillary's self-doubt and second-guessing herself--perhaps a little more than I'd like to admit. As it's the third book in the series, I think I'd prefer to wait until I read the other two, even if this one can stand alone, just because that's my nature, but I'll keep it on my list. Thank you for the helpful review.

Well-developed characters, realistic portrayal, and steady pace all make this book appealing; it is well-edited. I will add it to my reading list.

As a detective, I like how Hillary is a devoted mother to her daughter and her family in general. I would like to read on what transpires during her recent trip to Ireland with her husband. Nice review.

I liked this review. I didn't realize this was a series. I'm interested to read it completely; the excerpt I read was well written. I;m also intrigued to look at the author's other books in the series. Thanks.

Thank you for the great review. Being of Irish descent, I am very interested in the setting for this book. I am looking forward to finding out what Hillary uncovers about her past. I am also interested in the portrayal of Claire.

Thanks Cecilia_L for the review of this story. While I read your review, it was as if I was reading the novel itself since it is very informative of everything about the tale. Now, I definitely know what to expect, while reading the story in totality.

I prefer to read series in order but as you mentioned that this is a book that can stand on its own, I am open to reading it. I am particularly interested in reading about Claire since you described how well the author created a realistic view of her.

After reading this book myself, I couldn't agree with you more. I loved the way Clare was written in, not just as a background character, but as someone who added to the story. I could see my daughter in her when she was running around with her long hair and doll.

I did not read The House of Erie, but you made it sound like a very interesting book. The others that have read the book also seem to think it was a very good book.
