The book sounds a real thriller. I've always loved mystery with a little bit of romance. I like the fact that shes headstrong. This is a book I would definitely want to read. Thanks for the review!

The first part of a trilogy is a mystery book, suspense with a touch of romance that involves family secrets, betrayal and murder, in the story highlights the inheritance left by her aunt to the main character Roxanne and she did not know of its existence

I love that the female character is not a damsel in distress archetype and that she is instead portrayed as a strong, fierce woman. That's refreshing!

Too bad to learn that Roxanne broke with her boyfriend Richard, but I like her independent and headstrong behavior. Great book. wonderful review

Thanks for the informative review, as always. I agree the author's writing style was very descriptive. I could see everything that was happening. In the sample I read, Roxanne's personality is so abrasive I Don't want to continue reading just because I don't know how to read a book with a character I dislike that much. It was ironic that she referenced Gone With the Wind as that is another book with a protagonist I thoroughly despised. Maybe, if Callahan succeeds at taming her frigid spirit it would be a worthy read?

It's cool that Roxanne is a character who is independent and headstrong and that the author included a sense of humor.

I'm not really one for mysteries, but the addition of the romance element stirs my interest a bit. I like a bit of escapism now and then! I just may give this one a look. Thanks for the informative review!

Looks like you have enjoyed reading this suspenseful mystery novel. The well-developed characters and flaw less grammar are the take away of this novel. The plot including romance is another attraction. This novel is perfect for mystery book readers. Thanks for the review. Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Good review. Didn't like the bad language in the book. Do we really need bad language in a book to make it interesting? (that's just a rhetorical question :) )

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I’m a bit disappointed that the book is described as predictable as I quite enjoyed the first three chapters. I believe the comfort of a good love story will make up for the mystery being somewhat lost. I look forward to adding this book to my reading list.
