While I love nothing more than a great mystery, I'm not too keen on the romantic aspects, so I'm kind of on the fence here, but probably leaning more towards reading it. Thanks for the introduction and giving me food for thought.

And to answer your initial question, even though I don't WANT anyone to have to die, I imagine I'd dance the boogaloo if I found out I was inheriting money, an estate, or whatever, from ANYone, whether I knew them or not, ha ha ha.

Would I be right if I said that this book is both a suspense-thriller and a romantic story.. It sounds awesome!!!

Thank you very much, it's a beautiful review..

The characters in this book seem really well fleshed out. Just from your review, I feel like I know them. Although that's due to your fantastic review - not the author's words :) I love good banter between characters that seems natural and unforced. It makes characters really come to life in our minds.

I really enjoyed your review, thanks!

I'm one of those readers who prefer intense thrillers but cozy mysteries do make their way onto my reading list. I'll give this one a try since you rated it 4/4. Thanks for the review. I'll make sure to share it.

You've done the book ample justice with your intriguing yet well-written review!

I've got a propensity for long-term planning. Since more than five years ago, I've already started making sure that I've got my life insurance, other insurances, and last will all in order for my loved ones and beneficiaries. I'm, thus, curious about the dilemmas and other occurrences in the protagonist's role in her aunt's will.

I love a suspenseful mystery with a hint of romance involving family secrets, betrayal, and murder so I'll read this book. I admire your honesty in these lines:

I found myself rooting for their budding romance, despite the cliched knight in shining armor references because Roxanne didn’t behave like a damsel in distress. To the contrary, her character is fiercely independent and headstrong. At the same time, I found Callahan’s sensitivity to provide exactly what Roxanne needed be it a hot meal, car towing or a place to sleep within hours of meeting her a tad unrealistic.

Thanks for the awesome review. 😉

What an engaging review! I might have to hunt this one down asap. I love mysteries. Romances not so much but this one sounds okay (i.e. not overdone).

Thank you.
There weren't a lot of details about the will, which was part of the mystery...
