A detective book that delivers on developing more than one character. I love a good detective book. It's not often you hear of one written where the author leaves a romance out of it. I enjoyed reading your review and will add this one to my bookshelf. Congrats on BOTD!

Crime with no romance! This is magical.
The characters are quite many and almost confusing but very focused. Good job

Many crime thriller books fall into predictable patterns. White Night bucks this trend completely, with uncooperative witnesses, personal flaws that greatly hinder the protagonists, and a variety of unknown quantities that lend a great deal of suspense to the narrative.
A well-written work of fiction full of suspense, action, and mystery! I must admit I read the sample and got my copy weeks ago, as it is free on Kindle Unlimited. It is a must-read for fans of police procedurals! Thank you for the detailed review! :tiphat:

A crime thriller that's not predictable, has good characterization, and the cop doesn't fall in love with her partner by default? Sign me up! Thanks for a helpful and informative review.

Ultimately, its character-focused narrative is White Night's greatest strength. It is an incredibly engaging novel with starkly realistic motives and relationships, and every page is infused with a sense of urgency and tension.

The above lines of your review persuade the wavering reader to make this narrative a must read. This plot sounds exciting and it a prerequisite for most readers.

What an excellent review that builds up the suspense without giving anything away!!! We all want to know who these characters are and what are all these unexpected twists and turns alluded to in your review. Great writing. Can't wait to read this book.

I enjoy a good crime novel every oncein a while. but I find they are often very similar or very predictable. I am glad that this one does not fit that mold, because of this review I claimed a copy to review myself. Thanks for the review.

I love a good detective story with mysteries that could go either way. Also, from your review I understand that the author took the time to really develop the characters, so this is another thing that I search for in a good book. Thank you very much for a great review!

I love reading crime thrillers like this, especially if the events are unexpected. It seems like the author did a good job of avoiding cliches with this story. Thanks for the review!

Well I love mysteries and police procedurals, so I would want to read this anyway, but I'm even more interested since it sees to be different from other books like it. Great review!

Two people who have had difficult times made partners. I'd love to know how rocky their relationship would be at first, because in cases like this they both end up having each other's back. Nice crime-thriller with good character development. Good review.

Thanks for the review. I too find it refreshing when there is not a romantic story attached to the story. It sounds as if the plot is strong enought that there might not be a need to also have the romantic story. Would love to see it made into a movie.

Firstly, kudos to the author who researched in detail police life. I like the character development, it gives the book a personal touch. It's even better because it is not an unrealistic love affair. We can all in a way connect with the characters. This review is amazing, thank you!
