Not a book I would usually go for but after reading this review my interest has been spiked! Sounds like a great read full of interesting characters. I love a good cliff hanger!

Thrillers are so much fun to read, and this one sounds like a good one involving pananama and some crazy characters!

Certainly a nice topic to cover considering it has a cliffhanger ending and some fun and relevant ideas. I'll have to check this one out and see just how good it is, and the fact that it got a perfect rating is a huge bonus.

I am a huge fan of crime/thrillers! I can't wait to read this book. I am excited to see another 4 star review.

Hmm, nice one. The first story I was like is that a love story? I reserve my comment on that, is like am reading song of Solomon. I love the concept of the other story line embedded in the book it is catchy and educative.

In a way, this book reminds me of Chinatown starring Jack Nicholson, full of political corruption and personal drama. I didn't think I would like that movie but I did, so I'm sure that I would like this book even though I don't read thrillers/mysteries too often. I'm not against the genre, in fact I've wanted to start reading it for quite some time, but other books have always taken precedent. The Expansion sounds like a great book for a thriller/mystery novice to start with.

It is definitely not a kind of book I would chose to read. But I'm sure, many readers would enjoy this captivating thriller.

To be honest, I tend to shy away from thriller novels, however, I am intrigued by the engineer Max Burns and where his adventures at the Panama Canal will take him. I am more of a romantic and am actually pleased to read that this book contains a bit of a love story as well (or at least a love scene?). Thank you for your review!
