This book is a thriller, which is my favourite genre. I find the review quite interesting and this is a good read to me.

Its a thriller and that is my favourite genre. It talks about the topics like politics and all. I find the review itself quite interesting. I going to read this if I do get time.

The story sure sounds interesting. I liked the sample - I didn't feel overwhelmed with descriptions and the story seems to evolve quickly, which is good. The review peaked my interest even more. Overall it should be a great read.

Very well written review! I can't wait to read this book actually. Sounds beyond interesting and fascinating. The sample pages hooked their clawes into me from the very first word. I'm curious what's gonna happen and how the characters past will be relevant in their future.

I do like this book because I thought it has something to do with state expansion or politics but it's nice for people who like fiction and romance thrills I would also like to know more about what took place at the cliff so am seriously waiting till I read and complete it..

Such an intresting book, although a cliff hanger for that matter,The book os a good one as it gave unfolded things abt panama and central america tha i didnt know, the greatest thing is the involvement of these mind capturing characters by the author that play roles in all this scenes full of amazing big businesses, politics and virtues ie betrayal that keep you yarning for more.

It has a little bit of everything. Tuckles the complications of politics intermingled with business but then draws you back to the smooth world humanity (both ways)

The Expansion could be likened to the intense scrambling of African resources among the colonial power brokers resulting in the famous Berlin Conference of 1884-5 organized by Otto Von Bismarch where major European powers met to formalize the partition African territories into western economic entities. To African readers, Expansion transcends the borders of "thriller, the sleaziness of corporate espionage or intrigue of clandestine agencies" but a reminiscence of those black spots in their histories. Beyond Latin American and the Caribbean where western's territorial expansionism is deeply rooted, Panama Canal could be seemed as a metaphor of colonial and neo-colonialist tendencies. Impressive review.

I'll be honest, I judge books by their cover, that's why I looked into the review. Unfortunately, after reading the review, I'm not sure that this is going to make it on my "to-read" list.

Thanks for your great review. I'm glad I read it cause you convinced me to buy the book. Though not a fan of cliff hangers, I guess the story is just worth my frustration at the end

I decided to read the book based on the reviews and I must say I was not disappointed. I managed to read it in two sittings. Absolute loved the book and I do hope there is another one that follows.
