Oooh, I've really been in the mood for a dark fantasy, and I love books with solid character development. Thanks for this thoughtful review - I'm excited to give this book a shot!

The book cover is eye caching. It sounds like a perfect horror thriller. Thanks for the review.

I've read this one too, and while Eve can be a hard protagonist to like sometimes (she does a lot of questionable things) I think she is written well considering the background her character has. This is a book that also got better as it progressed, because, as you said, a lot of time passes and the good developments don't happen around the halfway mark. Wonderful review, I'm glad you enjoyed the book as much as I did.

Thank you for the review! This seems like a good book for the dark fantasy genre. I like how Eve tries to be a good person instead of just copying what her parents do. It would be nice to see her transformation as she falls deeply in love with Boaz.

sounds exciting...will have to see if the depictions of abuse get to be too much, though.

I like fantasy though this may not be fitting for me as I don't find it comfortable to read much of dark stories. But thanks for the great work McClellan!

Thank you for your awesome review. This definitely looks like a book I would be interested in reading. I love that the author is thorough in their descriptions, even if they are dark. It is good to read a book that makes you feel like you are walking alongside the characters. I can only hope to read it closer to when the other book will be released because I will hate to be left with a cliffhanger! Does that happen as it is a series?

In fact, magic should not be used anyhow on its unfortunate victims if one possesses it. So, I will like to read the full story to be able to learn lessons from it.

I love good character development, and I’m interested to see how this young girl rebels against her family of powerful witches. Great review! Thanks.

Eve being that she lacks that love and care is the reason why she totally fell for the vampire guy not thinking of it as anything but rather a sudden string of hope for her.
And the fact that she had a rough child hood made her find pleasure in her darkness because she feels that's her freedom.
