I also am curious to read the first book. The author managed to leave the hints without giving spoilers, so I am very interested. Thank you for visiting!Barbara Perini wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 15:53 Investigation stories appeal to me, and this one sounds interesting indeed. I’m glad to know that’s standalone, although I’d read the previous one as well.

I am sure you will enjoy it too! The title rather refers to the first book, The Reaper, but it also has a connection with one of the characters. A subtle one, or as least that's how I saw it.Josephe-Anne wrote: ↑28 Jul 2021, 21:17 I do love a good mystery, and this one sounds unique. I would have preferred if the story had a grand finale, but I'm glad that all of the loose ends were tied up though. I'm also curious about the title. I wonder what it has to do with tracking down Mary and everything else.
Thank you for your well-written review.

I am sure that this is your kind of book! I am looking forward to read your opinion about it . Thank you for visiting!Prisallen wrote: ↑29 Jul 2021, 07:37 This sounds like a mystery that I would enjoy. I appreciate that the protagonist is a transgender person, and the author is trying to get readers to understand what they go through. She is also a strong female character, being an ex-marine. Great review! It made me want to read the book!
