The first book was definitely fascinating in a horrible kind of way, with some pretty out there medical technology. I understand the author wanting to make each book stand on it's own fairly well, but it seems like this book included more repetitive information that necessary. That would make for a slow start for readers who remember the first book fairly well. Still a good concept for those interested in the genre.

This is an interesting fictional thriller novel highlighting amnesia, crime, revenge, suspense, secrecy, assailants, taking one`s appearance, and trauma. It has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has an inciteful OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @kimekemar on the BOTD selection.

This sounds like a well written crime novel. With extreme situations such as losing fingers and your face, the author has certainly made it a captivating thriller. Thanks for a great review.

The plot in this books seems quite unique, not just a simple case of mistaken identity but one that results in a man waking from a coma to find he has a new face and missing fingers. Not surprising he will be seeking revenge. This type of crime thriller is not my preference, but I can appreciate that the author has created a novel that will appeal to fans of this genre and are looking for something a little different. Great review.

Matthias' story of identity loss and rediscovery of his self is full of tension and suspension. I generally like psychological thrillers, so I'm willing to give both books a try. Thanks for your review!

It is clear from the review that his 'taking vengeance and starting a new life' plan did not exactly work out.I can’t imagine how it would feel to not have any fingers and a face and how much pain he would be in. While I am reading the review I am in the point having interest to read whole the whole volume.

Wow! This story sounds really traumatic! It's great that the author has a unique writing style so I'm sure the book is worth reading.

Your review had me at the first sentence. The book sounds like an interesting read. That means he has no finger on both hands wow! And losing his face too? I really can't wait to read the book and find out how he got there and what happened eventually. Great review!

Waking without fingers and with a different face - a scene straight from my worst nightmares. I'm intrigued. How could one possibly regain lost fingers? Thanks for a great review.

It sounds like Matthias has suffered immensely; not only physically but cognitively as well. He and his wife will have a hard road ahead. I couldn't imagine waking up and having most of my face gone! Thanks for the informative review.

Well I think he is a unique creative story teller. To show a person 's life who lost his face and figures and how he suffers from pain and everything is beautifully designed by him .so I think this indeed the best book to get 4 out of 4 Stars.

The first thing I want to say is that I cannot imagine myself in this traumatic experience that the writer went through. It is amazing what a masterpiece was created from this story. The story is simply unique and it is worth spending every moment reading it.

Interesting to see two books in one single review. I wonder how many more books there are in the series?
