It is a practical guide if the users use it as intended, which is as a reference point. The authors clearly state that one should seek the help of a professional. So for me it is a practical guide.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. The authors noted after almost every remedy that professional guidance should be used when using this treatment. This led me to believe that it was more of a learning about the treatments and which you MAY want to try instead of should try.

We are so used to medicate everything that sometimes we don't believe in the power of natural remedies like meditation, yoga, etc. But I believe those methods are as effective as the pills.

I'd imagine that the book is meant to help guide someone with anxiety and stress rather than a replacement for professional help. Then again, there is a large population that can't afford to see a professional and this book provides them some methods on how to navigate their experience.

I think that as a guide, the book is alright. However, it is always important to visit a specialist for accurate and personalized help.

I like this book. The things discussed here are practical and applicable. However, I want to believe that everyone is expected to consult a physician when there is a need.

The authors of the book did a very good job in their work, practical in every sense of it without however advocating for professional medical expertise when necessary. When formed as a daily routine, the steps in the book can help deal with stress and anxiety pretty well.

Sushan wrote: 01 Aug 2020, 02:43 This is a practical guide to relieve anxiety and stress, by two authors who are renowned as well as experienced in the subject.

Yet, this is a book to read and understand by the reader him/herself, and then to apply its content to get relieved from his/her anxiety and stress.

To what extent this practice is practical? Without a proper assessment and a guidance from a trained personnel, will it deliver the expected results? Or will it worsen the issue?
The beauty about natural remedies is that you don't need a medical diagnosis for you to apply them. Everyone should be doing what is in the book whether or not they are under stress. Is the advice practical? Definitely. When applied it does wonders for stress relief

I believe the book is very practical. Although it is not a total replacement for medical check up. There are information on when to self care and when to visit a professional to avoid side effect of self medication.

In my opinion, many steps discussed in the book are practical and be easily understood, and can be followed by a normal person. The problems arise if the person does not understand where to stop and seek professional help as there is no proper way for him to check if the remedies are a success.

It is quite practical. It shows both the ways to know when one is dealing with these ailments, and then many natural remedies that can be applied individually.

I feel like the ideas in this book are practical in a sense, but may not be practical for every person. For example, diet changes may help in some cases, but in others it may worsen the problem. Readers should give the advice in this book thought, and then evaluate it for their own personal situation.

I believe the majority of self-help books and guides provide practical advice. If the reader takes the time to apply the concepts they are useful. Unfortunately, many people, like myself, find excuses for not applying the concepts. For example, I know I should exercise, I have the equipment, but I make a million excuses. The book is only as good as the reader allows it to be.

This is a tricky question. Some people get minor episodes that can be self-regulated with the help of the book, but other people need a professional to help regulate the problem.
