While the book falls firmly in the science fiction genre, there was an enigma to be puzzled out. We aren't given the full scope of the story upfront. But rather, the author lays down breadcrumbs guiding us along the path toward the answers. The answers we seek aren't fully revealed until the ending, leaving us eagerly turning pages. The mystery starts almost immediately, so there is no slow build-up or boring pages waiting to see when the action will start. It hooks you right away.
While this isn't my preferred genre, your review really piques my interest. Great review!
I think it's one that even non-sci-fi lovers could get into. Thanks for your kind words.

I feel bad for Peter: imagine working for the Orb only to find out your daughter's death is connected to it! Unlike most of science fiction books, I'm glad to hear that this one is not slow-paced. Fascinating review!

Your enthusiasm for this genre is infectious and I think I really must try a science fiction book to see if I like it. The idea of the story unfolding little by little is very appealing and think it must take great skill to write like that. Many thanks for a great review.

If you haven't tried science fiction before, you should definitely try one. This would be a good one to start with as it contains more than just sci fi. The mystery will hook you. Thanks.

I did a review on one of Tara Basi´s books Seven At two past five, I found it hard to follow. Your review is very good and i think this one might be something worth reading.

Well, this is one of those books you have to kind of piece together. However, I wouldn't say that it was difficult to follow. I enjoyed it. Thanks!

I feel like I have to read this book just to learn about the holographic clothes. Is that anything like the story of the emperor's new clothes? Thanks for the compelling review.

The holographic clothes seemed like a lot of fun to me! I can't wait for those to be available. It might be a while, though. :)

The premise sounds interesting, and it seems like an exciting read from start to finish. The plot seems well-developed, and I like that the author lays down the foundations properly. Thanks for the review!

I like the sci-fi genre and immensely enjoy reading these type of books. It's great that the author has found the right balance in technical details and the storyline. Also, I'm curious about the mystery behind Kiki's death. So I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Thanks for the great review.
