It is hard to believe that the "big people" would put Pip, who is a Pygmy, in a zoo alongside an ape! In spite of all Pip's abuses, she had a good-natured personality. I am curious how Zardon, the red dragon knew about Pip and rescued her. Your review and mentioning the author's storytelling ability with good character developments and the fact that you couldn't put the book down, all make me want to read the book.

Like the reviewer, I fell in love with the cover art right away. And I LOVE a well-written dragon story. I’m excited to crack this one open.

Great job on review, definitely piques my interest. I like stories of magical things lokendragons and the shapeshifting to name a couple that's relevant to this book. To hear that this story was well written and will keep me invested through entire book makes me want to try it. Congratulations on BOTD.

I think even in the fantasy genre this is a unique novel. It seems suitable for young adults but I think adults can read it as well. Who won't enjoy a good fantasy story with dragons....

Though I’m not that into fantasy, I do love dragons! The writing is beautiful prose, and makes me want to read all his other novels. I feel like I have to start with the other connected books though to truly have the full picture.

The Pygmy Dragon by Marc Secchia, fantasy novels are all time favourite and as mentioned in the review the book cover is awesome. Shapeshifter is what everyone loves to read stories about. This novel is on my list.

Sounds like a book with a unique character - pygmy dragon - not heard or read about in previous books on dragons. I also like the fact that she was civil in spite of her mistreatment by the whites. Thanks for a wonderful review.

This sounds really good! Fantasy is my favorite genre so it was no surprise I was immediately drawn to the talk of dragons. I don't mind a trope-filled story as long as there are fresh new twists to keep things interesting, and based on your review it certainly seems there's plenty of originality and fun ideas!

Shapeshifting into a Dragon is something new. Besides nothing nothing is better than sampling this book out. Thank you for the info!

Thank you for the review. Although it sounds like an engaging novel for the fans of the genre with themes according to the times in which we live for a fantasy book, I am afraid that the setting in Africa and the strong presence of dragons take me away from this book.
