Yay, finished reading, it took me two days and I loved it!!! I agree that the violence was vital to the book but it as beautifully written, no fluff here!!!!!

Oh I'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as I did!
The violence was very hectic, but totally necessary.
Now we look forward to number 2 :)

in my opinion this is good. my advice is just less horror. the story is normal. the reader becomes bored. give a more interesting story so that the reader is not bored

This is definitely a glowing review from a fan of the fantasy genre and of this book in particular. Since this book was chosen as book of the year, clearly you were not alone in loving it so! Although it sounds like an engaging plot, I think I will pass on reading this one because I tend to become frustrated with names of characters I can't pronounce in my head. I can tell by your review that I would likely have that issue again in this story. You gave me what I needed to know, thank you!

I just recently got this book Immortal' Requiem by Vincent Bobbe, threw Amazon for free, just haven't started reading it, by the title of the book, it sounds very interesting and a exciting book that you wouldn't want to put down. I also have all of the rest of the books that go along with this book as well. It will take me about 4 months to read them all and write reviews on all of them as I finish one.

Wow..a book hangover! I totally get that. I'm already in love with the story after reading your detailed write-up. I got the e-book free from Amazon pretty recently but didn't start reading it yet. This fantasy novel tops my "to-read" list. Thank you for the review.

Great review! I have read this book and I love it. I totally agree that this book has a colorful language, litereally and not, and there are phrases that are very poetic that puts a smile in my face.

This book sounds pretty great. I absolutely love fantasies with elves and fairy races, and the fact that there are even zombies, vampires, and other creatures included, promises that it will be quite a ride.

I also like a bit of action and violence, as long as it is well written and not gratuitous, so this definitely sounds like something I would put on my 'to read' list.
