It is a land of blue grasses, lilac skies, and green seas. It is a land of magic, vampires, oracles, shapeshifters, and dragons.
It is complete. All the things I like in dragon stories

The book sounds good. I like the plot and the cleanliness of the book, which is great for younger readers. And dragons! I like fantasy books and dragons so I will have to read this one. Thank you for the review.

Ooh I love your naming of her as a "she-dragon." I really hope she embraces her ferocity in the book to come!

Cate Mbevi wrote: 13 Jun 2018, 23:58 Thanks for the great review. More than the literal part of the story, I believe there is a "dragon" in each of us which we struggle to hide but it insists on being shown out. Our dragons can save humanity but can also destroy it if not kept on check.
Kudos for taking this to the next level! I love your insight!

I'm less keen about the puppy love, but it's hard to find a book featuring teenagers that doesn't have some romance in it, so I guess I'll bear with it.
I couldn't agree with you more. This type of YA fiction isn't generally what I would gravitate toward in my personal time but for what it is meant to be-I couldn't fault it.

    Thanks for reading!

I always enjoy when a fantasy boom set in another world has familiar aspects. Teenagers in another place may have different views and ideas but I’m certain everywhere they are still idealistic and unable to take responsibility for who they are. Lara sounds like a perfect example of this!

This really caught my attention most especially that shape shifting dragon can't wait to add it to my shelve

It sounds like the book has many interesting aspects. It great that you enjoyed the book. Unfortunately, books with vampires and dragons are not my usual cup of tea. Great review.

Daenerys the Mother of Dragons first came to mind when I read the first paragraph of this review then Maleficent next came to mind when I read that she is a shape-shifting dragon. This book sounds like a fantasy overload which is good for those who seek fantasy adventure.
