Two World Order by Neil T. McCabe is a geopolitical thriller that exams the relations of the newest superpowers and the fallen ones. The book is set in the year 2046, which allows it to be a little more relatable since it is not too far in the future. Two World Order explores the fall of the United States, and all attempts to regain their lost status. They are led by President Hackett who has to put country over self in efforts to succeed. He is challenged by greedy and power-hungry world leaders who want to dominate what is left of the once powerful nation.

Two World Order is very realistic and will have you hoping the author is not a prophet. This book is packed with action, and at many points, while reading, I thought this book would make a very great army movie; even a doomsday movie. I loved the amount of research that went into writing this book. You can see it from the quality of the military information that was provided. The author’s attention to detail was amazing; another indication of the research went into the book. I especially loved that there was a glossary provided at the end of the book as there were terms that needed some clarity.

I really liked that every named character, whether primary or secondary were very well developed. Where necessary, backstories were provided and this added greatly to the quality of the book. The cover was, however, a bit misleading, as the setting established was not what was pictured; however, I was not too disappointed with what I found. Major themes noticed in this book were, courage, sacrifice, greed and betrayal.

Two World Order was a very great read with many surprises popping up at every angle. It was very hard to predict what would happen, as information would switch last minute. Although this is the case, I am happy to report that there were no plot holes, as everything was adequately and timely explained. I loved the ending of the book. It was surprising but very satisfactory.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars as I believe it was well written with no errors detected. This novel is definitely a page-turner and I would gladly recommend this book to individuals who are big fans of politics or reading about wars. This could also make a good read for book clubs as it possesses many points for discussion.

Great review! Sounds like a great dystopian novel, my favorite. I really like the idea of reading it for the purpose of further discussion. I think it would be a good book for perhaps discussion in a class setting.

I am so curious as you did not mention any of the new superpowers that caused the downfall of the United States. Do I hear North Korea?

I can't wait to know more about this story. Thanks for the intriguing review, Mouricia25!
