Awesome review. I'm not normally a fan of fantasy, but this review may have changed my mind. I don't care for the cover, it has too much going on.

have to agree that urban fantasy is definitely
difficult to write, but based on your review, the
author pulled it off! Thank you for the great
review!

Superb review! I'm definitely interested in this read. It's not often you find yourself a ssviour in a strange land, needing to brace up and step up to the responsibilities associate with it. Kudos to the author!

Roan:The Tales Of Conor Archer is an amazing epic urban fantasy that rivals the magisterium series. I loved every chapter and I hope there is a sequel.

The urban fantasy has never been my priority i in novels or any other genre, but I will agree with the reviewer, the plot and less magical myths makes the tale sound so cool. This must be priority in my reading list from the word go.

This book is amazing in many respects. E.R. Barr is obviously a very talented writer. The way in which he is able to weave legend, myth, and folklore into his storyline is impressive, as is his writing style.
I would have given this book 5 stars had he also been able to create characters that I could really immerse with. Though not flat, by any stretch of the imagination, his characters, especially the main ones, were weaker at the start of the book than I would have liked to see. Just before the middle of the book, I became somewhat sold on them.
Also, this book is long and that didn't bother me so much, but there was some unnecessary blather that could have been cut out without deterring from the storyline.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to those that like fanciful storylines that are told with an old fashioned flair.
